Painting the Northwest in watercolor

2018 C.A.A. Cover Artist

John Ebner Artist Bio

“I am very honored to be selected for the cover art on this twentieth year of the studio tour. We have lived on the island for twenty years and I am one of the few remaining founders of the tour.

This island and its people are amazing. The artists are always willing to help each other learn and develop their art. The Camano Arts Association supports scholarships for aspiring artists in Stanwood High School.

I have been doing art since 1973 as the start of a new hobby. I was captivated with watercolors and have painted my vision of the Pacific Northwest with its rain, mist and many moods.

I love to experiment with different types of art. I use alcohol inks, poured acrylics and epoxy resins. We self publish our own limited edition prints and distribute them to galleries in the Northwest.

I love to spend time teaching my grandchildren 4 and 6 to draw and paint. They seem to have the same joy and appreciation for art that I do.

I am a past president of the Northwest Watercolor Society, a life member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists and a charter member of the Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists. To see more of Johns originals and limited editions go to,
